Ramadan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur''an as a guide to mankind also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (between right and wrong). So everyone of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spent it in fasting, but if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful.

According to a hadeeth of Prophet Prophet Muhammad PBUH related by Imam Ahmad, "Whosoever shares in building a masjid for Allah, even if it is as small as a bird''s nest, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." |

Assalamualaikum!
We are delighted to inform you that New Tampa community is making good progress in building a Masjid. Last and final phase of construction remains. Please join in to help establish a place of worship and an anchor for coming generations of Muslims.
Secondly, during this blessed month of Ramadan, please join us for regular and taraweeh prayers, and during other community events.

MASJID UPDATE
 You may be aware, we launched a project to build a proper Masjid with community center, recreation facilities, classrooms, library kitchen and offices. |
 Located in New Tampa area, the total floor area will be 7500 square feet on a 7.5 acre land we bought in 2001.
With $750,000 raised so far, we are on track to complete the entire structure and shell. |
 Currently, a modest home that stood on this land has been adapted for prayers and community activities.

 The community has grown several fold. We started with less than 20 people 10 years ago. Now, over 300 come for Juma prayers.
We are running out of capacity.
There is no proper arrangement to hold classes, youth programs and community events. Thus, there is a pressing need for a proper Masjid and community center |
 It will take $500,000 more to finish the project. We look forward to your contribution.
It is Allah''s promise that you will see the fruits of your contribution in this life and the here-after.
Please think of this Masjid as you take stock of your zakat, sadaqa and the legacy you would like to leave. | |
