Daily Qur'aan Classes

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said: “The best of you are those who learn and teach the Qur’aan.”

The Qur’aan is Islam. The knowledge of the Qur’aan is the Shariah of Islam. Without the knowledge of the Qur’aan, it is impossible to sustain Imaan. It is for this reason that it has been proclaimed that the noblest of the Ummah are those who are engage in the acquisition and dissemination of the knowledge of the Qur’aan.

Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of the Ummah’s children are completely deprived of the very basic and elementary teachings of Islam. All over the world, especially in Muslim countries, children in their thousands are growing up like non-Muslims.

By the mercy of Allah Ta'ala, Masjid Darus Salaam has embarked on this struggle in its own way. The Masjid has established a five day Maktab/Madrasah system for school aged children. At present we have aproximately 50 children regularly attending and studying the following subjects: Qur'aan reading, Memorizing Surahs, Fiqh, History and Morals and Ethics.
